ABOUT DEIRDRE HOLBROOK
Deirdre brings to VerbFactory more than a decade of experience in media relations, marketing, strategic communications, writing and editing. She joined the team in 2005 after serving as director of communications for the Peninsula Open Space Trust and its $200 million capital campaign. Prior to that, she worked as a public relations consultant advising various corporate, foundation and nonprofit clients. Before changing careers, she was a newspaper reporter and editor. Deirdre earned her BA at the University of California at Santa Cruz and MA in political theory and communications at Northwestern University. She lives in Oakland with her husband, 1-year-old son and 8-year-old dog Django. Between her son's naps, she tinkers with writing her dissertation.
